In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-based attire for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Special weapons
• Survey Corps steed

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's third free story content, titled "The Mystery." This playful quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
